Call out for volunteers for a one-day event: Ethkick West, March 3rd at Fred Taylor Park, Massey

Community Waitakere and friends are hosting an intercultural football tournament and day of community celebration. We are looking for volunteers to help make the event professional, positive and memorable for everyone involved.

We’re looking for volunteers who can help out for either a morning or afternoon shift (if you think you can both, we’d love to hear from you too!) on Saturday March 3rd. Volunteer shift #1 runs from 7am to midday and volunteer shift #2 runs from 11:30am to 4:30pm. You will be invited to attend a volunteer briefing at the tournament venue on Thursday February 22nd at 6:30pm  – refreshments will be provided and you’ll get an overview of the event itself and the specific volunteer roles which will make it a success.

Volunteer roles include registration coordinators, runners, field coordinators, info stallholders, car parking marshals, rubbish and recycling support, prize giving assistants etc. Volunteers will need to be 16 years or over and have a reasonable level of fitness. Community Waitakere are expecting around 500 people including players and spectators which makes our volunteers important contributors to the event. Volunteers will be fed and thanked on the day and after the event you will be recognised with a reference letter from Community Waitakere acknowledging your service.

More about the event: Ethkick West is a community event celebrating West Auckland's cultural diversity.
