Living in a democracy means all New Zealanders have a voice in our future. We can make our voices be heard and counted by enrolling and voting. It lets us take part in local elections, when we choose the people who will make decisions about our local areas, and general elections, when we choose the parties and politicians who will represent us in Parliament.
