We are delighted to be offering Open and Honest: Talking to children about sex, sensuality and sexuality as on online course this term. The sessions are delivered by Family Planning and will be 1½ hours each running on Tuesdays 2, 9 and 16 June, the cost is $10 for all three sessions and enrolment is for all three sessions (not just one or two).

Recognising lock-down heroes
National Volunteer Week celebrates the collective contribution of the 1.2 million volunteers who enrich Aotearoa New Zealand. National Volunteer Week 2019 runs from June 21 - 27. This year's theme is “Te Hua o te Mahi Tahi I The benefit of working together. Volunteering Auckland is preparing a month-long social media shout-out for the kindness shown by volunteers all over Auckland, and the huge part they have played through lock-down. If you/your organisation has pictures and brief stories of amazing contributions by volunteers to their community organisations and communities during lock-down, Volunteering Auckland would love to receive them. This will involve obtaining the consent of the volunteers and confirming to Volunteering Auckland that this has been done. >>

The Beautiful Awards are a great way to celebrate the many positive things individuals, businesses, schools, community groups and councils are doing across Aotearoa to Keep New Zealand Beautiful. The Beautiful Awards celebrates environmental excellence and this year's entries are open until 5 August 2020. At this time we are planning for the Beautiful Awards Gala Dinner at The Domes, Auckland Zoo to go ahead on 29 October 2020. We’re hopeful that the Covid-19 restrictions around mass gatherings will have eased by October.....
