Creative Henderson-Massey is a new initiative from the Henderson-Massey Local Board to support and enable community-led arts activities throughout the Henderson-Massey area. It involves having an Arts Broker, whose role is to identify, curate, programme and enable community arts activities.
Creative Henderson-Massey currently has a "CALL FOR PROPOSALS" (funding submissions) out, for those seeking funding support. Learn all about it on the website - now LIVE at www.creativehendersonmassey.org.nz - or read a quick summary below....
HOW IT WORKS
The Arts Broker works with local artists and creative organistations to offer support in the development and delivery of their creative ideas and projects, whether this be assisting with funding, marketing, or helping to find the right location or people to work with.
The Arts Broker is interested in hearing from you and learning about your creative projects, even if they are just an “idea”. It could be dance, film, craft, visual arts, music, kapa-haka, spoken word, digital arts, a publication, a performance or an exhibition.
The Art Broker uses their own knowledge and experience to provide you with advice, assistance and support. The current Arts Broker is Renee Tanner. Read more about Renee here.
Each year Creative Henderson-Massy puts a “call for proposals” out, for those seeking funding support via an annual contestable funding round. The first round is NOW OPEN and closes 20 March. See the poster below on our NOTICEBOARD and visit the website for full details on submitting a proposal.
Keep an eye on the website and e-newsletter NOTICEBOARD for further news and opportunities, or to post up a "notice" yourself. Learn more below. Keep in the loop by following @creativehendersonmassey on Facebook too.
