Auckland Council’s Community and Social Policy Department is working to update Council’s 10-year community development plan – the Thriving Communities Action Plan. This plan was published in 2014 and it is being updated so that it can better reflect Auckland’s population growth and changing demographics.
This plan directs how Council supports community led development and invests in communities through: events, festivals, grants, community leases, community programmes, social procurement, community facilities (such as libraries, community centres), capacity building support, community partnerships and more.
I would like to invite you to find out more and to register to attend one of the five events from the Thriving Communities Refresh – Regional Hui Series by clicking on the links below:
These hui will be run as facilitated workshops to help inform the new plan. They are aimed at informal and formal community groups and leaders from across the region.
Please feel free to share this invitation with your community networks and don’t hesitate to contact Thrivingcommunities@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz if you have any questions.
We hope you can join!
