Community Waitakere - Auckland, New Zealand

Individuals

If you would like to be involved in Project Twin Streams Henderson Creek we have regular volunteer opportunities for individuals with the Henderson Stream Team.

The Henderson Stream Team meet up every second Tuesday and carry out specific stream restoration work. No experience is necessary and work is tailored to the interests of the individuals. We aim to provide valuable, informative and educational experiences for all.

This is a great opportunity if you are looking for work experience; learning new skills or perhaps wanting to give back to our community and environment.

School Groups and Learning Institute Groups

Community Waitakere can work with your school or learning institution to develop and deliver practical opportunities for your students to engage in their local environment. We can assist in meeting outcomes for different learning modules, themes or units of work.

This can range from water quality testing, planting or even a guided walk along Henderson Creek. We can work with any age group from Early Childhood through to Adult Education.

Work Places, Corporate Groups and Community Groups

Community Waitakere can cater for a range of different groups to assist in the ongoing restoration and care of Henderson Creek. From pulling out rubbish, planting, weeding and mulching we aim to educate and inform through the experience. We have a number of workplaces and community groups who return to Henderson Creek year after year.
