Social Policy Forum – Invitation for feedback deadline extended to 21 June 2010

As part of the Auckland governance reforms, Minister Paula Bennett has proposed a new way of setting social wellbeing priorities in Auckland – a Social Policy Forum. This has the potential to enable effective decision-making and leadership on social wellbeing issues if it is set up right, but there is the potential to further tie up scarce resources to no good purpose. We encourage you to read her proposal and respond to her request for feedback.

Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill - invitation for submissions closes 18 June 2010

Public submissions are now being invited on the Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Bill.  You can make your submissions online here.  The closing date for submissions is Friday, 18 June 2010.  We strongly encourage you to make a submission on this important Amendment Bill.
