Community Waitakere is taking the first step of an exciting new journey and starting to explore developing a Sustainable Community and Economic Development Incubator as:
- A centre of innovative community development - Further developing the ‘Waitakere Way’ model of collaboration and partnership by proactively linking with others, sharing learnings with individuals and organisations, and further evolving our emergent models of social innovation, through practical application
- An information node and clearing house of stories and studies from around New Zealand and the world, targeted to local need
- A centre of social enterprise for community economic development: Facilitating mentoring and coaching for
international best practice - A centre of social innovation: Creating access to new tools and ways of thinking to meet social need
