MAUNGAKIEKIE-TAMAKI LOCAL BOARD COMMUNITY GRANT |
The current round for Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board community grant applications will close at 4pm on Wednesday 23 May 2012. The Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board has allocated $20,000 to each quarterly round of community grants with the aim of assisting local community groups and organisations to provide activities, projects, and programmes that help deliver on the priorities in the Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board Plan including environmental, cultural, arts, community development, recreational and heritage initiatives, and supporting our young people and Maori. The Aspire Scholarship provides assistance for low income families towards the costs of private secondary schooling. It will contribute up to $15,000 per year towards the tuition fees of a private school for the duration of a student's attendance at this school. It will also include a yearly allowance of up to $1,500 for course related costs. The scholarship does not cover boarding fees, and cannot be used at state or state-integrated schools. At least fifty Aspire Scholarships are now available to be awarded for the 2013 school year. They are available for students who will be moving into year 9 in 2013. Wanting to advance the youth health and development sector in New Zealand? Through its commitment to Kiwi youth, the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation in partnership with SYHPANZ (the Society of Youth Health Professionals Aotearoa New Zealand) is delighted to offer the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation Fellowship in Youth Health Leadership. The Fellowship is a leadership development grant of $90,000 for promising mid-career youth sector practitioners or researcher with proven leadership and experience in the youth sector to compete study, research or undertake a sabbatical (or a combination of these).
