Helping Disabled People into Self-employment |
|
Disabled people wishing to become self-employed, particularly those who are currently recipients of WINZ or ACC income, are invited to apply for a six-month intensive mentoring and coaching programme run by the Diversityworks Trust. A group of 10 people will be mentored and coached to visualize, strategize, put in place, and review their small business concept, and to support each other to be self-employed. They will also form an ongoing network so they can share skills, administrative services, web development, and other costs. Each person will aim to be established as self-employed - with company, tax and accounting set-up - and be ready to offer a product or service to the market within six months. People can apply to be a part of the programme through this link: http://www.diversityworks.org.nz/projects/unique-business/unique-business-application/

The Code would allow the sharing of information to help identify people who have been caught up in the emergency, to help people to get essential services, to coordinate management of the emergency, and to make sure that people who are responsible for others are kept appropriately informed. Submissions close on 25 May 2012. They go to
