He Kete Rauemi

Increasing the capability of our local community providers and practitioners through professional development.

He Kete Rauemi workshops are co-designed with our community and hosted by Community Waitākere. These professional development sessions are designed as tasters, giving community providers and practitioners the opportunity to explore a specialist topic and gain practical insights within a few hours.

The focus of each workshop varies, with sessions designed to build capability and provide complementary resources that support the sustainability and wellbeing of our community sector.

Funded by our local boards, He Kete Rauemi responds to the needs and interests of the local community sector. We first ask people working across the sector what topics they would like to learn more about, then use this kōrero to shape the workshops we offer.

If you’d like to hear about our upcoming He Kete Rauemi workshops, get in touch with us to be added to the mailing list.

These sessions may include workshops on:

  • Te Tiriti O Waitangi

  • Māori, Pacific, or migrant approaches to community development

  • Organisational change

  • Working with our environment

  • Building resilience

  • Organisation values
