This submission relates to the proposed Waitākere Ranges Heritage Area Deed of Acknowledgement, which recognises the significance of the ranges and sets out a partnership approach between Te Kawerau ā Maki, Auckland Council, and the Crown. Our feedback supports the Deed and emphasises the importance of genuine Te Tiriti partnership, shared governance, and long-term resourcing to protect the heritage area for future generations.
