He Hononga Hapori -Community Waitākere Open Door Days
He Hononga Hapori - Community Waitākere Open Door Days are facilitated by us for 10 months of the year. They are an open invitation to encourage community organisations, promote spaces of community empowerment, showcase innovative projects, build capability and more. Intended to facilitate and promote discussion of what really matters to all of us, these events are an opportunity for you to connect with others in your community, to discuss your passions and ideas and to encourage further development of those ideas into actions.
All of the projects we are involved with started with ideas from people on the ground who can spot gaps in the current opportunities available to West Auckland communities. People who seek to fill those gaps and create positive change. Open Door Days are an opportunity to share observations and ideas with the wider Waitākere community.
The events are typically held on a monthly basis either on a Tuesday/Thursday from 10am-12.30pm, and locations vary across the West Auckland community. They will typically have one or more guest speakers, as well as nibbles for morning tea.
