Te Au o Te Koopua
Welcome to our friendly and green co-working space!
The name Te Au o Te Koopua was gifted to Community Waitākere by Te Kawerau a Maki, and we are honoured to have been bestowed with it.
Our shared co-working space, Te Au o Te Koopua, sits on ancestral land where iwi once gathered to support each other; just as we do in our mahi today.
Au, comes from Te Au o Te Whenua, an ancestor of Maki. Koopua, means deep pool, signifying this are being at the meeting of the two streams: Opānuku and Waikumete.
